This February 1 – 7, 2021

Dear Student,

Do you need to refresh your yoga practice? Or go over the foundation again? Or do you have friends or family that could benefit from taking yoga? Our 3-week Beginner’s Series are coming up:

  • Saturdays 11:30am with Eve Holbrook beginning February 6
  • Sundays 3:30pm with Dan Shuman beginning February 14

Yoga teaches us how to address many layers of our being. In the upcoming 3-week Special Series, turn your attention to specific parts of the body and learn how they are connected to the whole:

  • Healthy Neck & Shoulders with Naghmeh Ahi, Saturdays 2:00pm beginning February 6
  • Healthy Hips with Tori Milner, Mondays 7:00pm beginning February 8.

In this week’s Special Focus Classes:

  • Come to the “Hip Strength and Mobility” with Mimi Visser on Wednesday, February 3 at 6:30pm.
  • Be “Grounded in Standing Poses” with Adam Vitolo on Saturday, February 6 at 10:00am.

Join us to Celebrate Black History Month in a special asana class taught by Kevin Allen & Deidra Demens; followed by a pre-recorded interview with Jaki Nett, Senior Iyengar Yoga Teacher, and a live discussion on the black experience in Iyengar Yoga. Sunday, February 7 at 11:30am.

The generosity of our community and teachers allows us to offer No Charge programming on our schedule. This week our Friday 3:30pm Community Class will be taught by Mia Berglund, one of our Certified Association Teachers. IYAGNY offers three additional no-charge classes: the Breast Health Class with Bobby Clennell on Tuesdays at 1:00pm; the Sutra Study Group on Fridays at 2:30pm; and the People of Color Class with Deidra Demens on Saturdays at 12:30pm.
